Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Loan Operations Team Lead’s Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Serve as the “go to” person in the absence of the department manager.
• Engage and motivate team members to achieve and maintain high level of performance and service standards.
• Assist Loan Ops Supervisor in hosting monthly department meetings with Loan Ops team.
• Provide feedback to Loan Ops Supervisor for conducting 1-1’s.
• Assist in determining training needs of LOS Team and help coordinate efforts.
• Serves as a backup for other team members during absence planned our unplanned.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing improvement initiatives.
• Assist Loan Ops Supervisor in strategic planning and support of all new loan product initiatives.

Loan Operations Specialist Responsibilities

• Reviews closing documents and books loans to system (both core and ABL, if applicable)
• Funds initial closing.
• Participation loan processing – both purchased and sold.
• Quotes payoffs and post payments.
• Reviews & funds warehouse advances.
• Construction Loans – funds draws/quotes payoffs/post payments.
• Books Loan Modifications/Loan Renewals to system.
• Execute recording/release of applicable documents.
• Loan Servicing - process Client requests/research requests.
• Balancing loan general ledger clearing accounts and reviews/provides daily/monthly reporting.
• Daily Maintenance Reports – reviews and obtains necessary backup documentation.
• Third Party Vendor - Verify Balances.
• Quarterly QCR Report.
• Monitor UCC’s – File continuations as needed.
• Submit invoices – Third Party Vendors.
• Post Rate Changes on CSI system.
• In-depth knowledge of loan operations and loan processing requirements.
• Train and coach junior specialists.
• Review and approve work of junior specialists when necessary.

Working Conditions

• This position is performed in a regular office work environment. Must be able to work independently from remote locations and within the office environment. The incumbent will be expected to be able to work Monday through Friday, and work will mainly be performed at the Maitland location; occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications Summary

Education

• Associate’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience.

Experience

7 plus years of related work experience in Loan Operations and Loan Servicing. Familiarity with CSI core system (NuPoint) preferred.

Syndicated loan service experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical skills
• Track record of effective collaboration and teamwork
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to adapt with changing guidance
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Proven intermediate math and basic accounting skills.
